They are highly recognised, synonymous with quality and simply unique – the most powerful German brands. Varta has once again been distinguished with the “Superbrands Award“, which positions it among the top brands in Germany. “The prize is an important acknowledgment for us“, emphasised Christian Rahn, International Communication Manager, VARTA Consumer Batteries, after the award ceremony in the historic festival hall of the Hofbräuhaus in Munich. “Nowadays, a strong brand is particularly important. After all, it is becoming increasingly difficult to establish a competitive edge in the fast-moving consumer goods market. Consistent quality over the course of several decades and customer satisfaction are now paying off for us.“ According to Mr Rahn, batteries tend to be a low-interest product, which is why a powerful brand is all the more significant. After 2004, the battery manufacturer has now received the “Superbrands Award“ for the second consecutive year.
For ten years, the independant organisation “Superbrands“ has been assessing the best corporate and product brands in more than 40 countries. In this context, the jury made up of experts from the field of advertising, the media and the economy pays specific attention to their image, constancy, quality and acceptance. This year alone, the experts selected the 73 strongest from a total of around 1,000 different brands. Besides Varta, Lufthansa, Adidas and Mercedes-Benz were among those awarded a prize.
