Microcosm

Desktop Ecosystem | posted 11.02.2005

Miracle of nature

Own your own little world: EcoSphere was developed by NASA as a self-contained ecosystem offering a perfect home for tiny shrimps, algae and bacteria. And you don’t have to worry about maintenance: the microcosm within the glass ball does not have to be fed or cleaned since all inhabitants live in a perfect ecological balance. The only thing EcoSphere needs is at least six hours a day of natural or artificial light. And while being virtually maintenance-free EcoSphere is extremely beautiful to look at and – of course - fascinating to think about.
