 Frankfurt, 10/01/2005 – There were 24 nickel metal hydride rechargeable batteries on the “Stiftung Warentest” test bench, including 14 AA and 10 AAA-sized cells. The best in the AAA class: The Varta Photo Accu rechargeable. Germany’s consumers, who have long placed their confidence in this high-performance cell, have seen their preference confirmed by the consumer protection organisation magazine “test” (issue 01/2005): The 800 mAh Varta Photo Accu rechargeable was the only test candidate in its category to receive the highest mark of “Very Good” (1.5). According to “Stiftung Warentest”, these cells can be fast charged without restriction in addition to other features.
In the AA class as well the Varta Photo Accu rechargeable had nothing to fear from the competition either. On the contrary: The 2300 mAh power cell, which can withstand up to a thousand charge cycles and deliver top performance even after hundreds of charges, was awarded a quality rating of “Good” (2.3) in this category. This score places the Varta Photo Accu rechargeable amongst the top three products in the test. In the AA or AAA class, the latest “Stiftung Warentest” quality test demonstrates once again that Varta delivers quality that you can rely on.
