Peter Fowler takes great pains to turn his creatures into fearsome beasts. But despite the menacing name, Fowler's creatures aren't the sort to sneak up and ravage you: rarely have cartoon monsters been this endearing!

The English designer has been drawing, painting and sculpting his strange offspring for years, achieving a cult following in Japan where big-headed, wide-eyed creatures have long been appreciated by the masses.

Monster Parts, his latest project, is a spark of genius: The DIY set allows you to mix and match 7 different characters and test out your monster making skills!

Hmm, maybe juxtaposing Skeletina with the evil janitor wasn’t such a good idea after all…
